Chicho & Lucia, have two weeks left in Los Angeles. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to study in depth with two fantastic and wonderfully creative teachers that are taking tango where it has never been. Explore with them a fresh approach to learning (or re-learning) tango that will free you from the shackles of memorization and patterns, and will change your understanding and polish your technique regardless of personal style. Weekday classes cover: technique, structure and improvisation (the Naveira-Salas school) on Tuesday, and milonga, vals and their rhythmic structure on Thursdays.
Chicho and Lucia are a tour-de-force for anyone with a yearning to become a better dancer, whether you are a milonguero, salon or tango nuevo aficionado, a complete beginner or a professional. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7-8:30pm and 8:30-10pm, at 3631 Hayden Ave. (cross street National, 3 blocks from Venice Blvd.), Culver City, until 10/12/00. Each class is $20. After this extended visit to the West Coast, they will fly to Paris for their European tour before the Congreso Internacional de Tango in Buenos Aires in March. They will not return to the West Coast until late 2001. Chicho & Lucia, a must for men and women serious about their tango. For more information call (818) 758-9167 or (818) 606-5895.
