Dear Friends, Daniela and Armando are still in culture shock here in Mt Vernon, Missouri, but are holding up well.
They have been real troopers, going way beyond the call of duty to help me promote my new venue and a new dance to the community. They have worked the streets, danced the street, danced the courthouse stage, danced in the high school for music and spanish classes, and ate apple butter. Promoting the building was hard to get people up 25 steps, but, when they came, they loved it! Promoting the dance has been even harder. We had 6 couples for class last night, maybe more tonight. Bob and Gretchen came from Tulsa which has been my farthest foreigners, still hoping to see some tango dancers to come in for my first milonga on Sat night. Teaching beginners from Daniela and Armando has been nothing short of AMAZING! They had people dancing social tango in one lesson. Thanks to these great teachers by the end of the week, my job will be done! I will have people to dance with! Wish you were here to share my dream coming true, Karen
