We in the North West part of the Americas enter the new Millennium. We will begin by giving thanks to whatever entity we choose and reflect back on the year with friends and relatives. One of the things I will give thanks for is all that Tango has brought me in the way of great relationships, healthy addiction, and a lot of time laughing and dancing this challenging form of music and movement. Connection is the one word that brings to mind. I would like to welcome whoever will be in our area December 31, to a whole afternoon and night of classes and celebration of New Years Eve and also New Years Day THE PULSE OF TANGO GALA New Years Eve events: - Tango class with Leslie Gordon and Christy Cote from 6pm-8pm, $10 For class reservation contact Christy (415) 824 7006 or Donna (650) 938 3261 - Celebration starts at 8pm with a buffet and then dancing until midnight with a desert table, champagne toast and buffet after midnight. The price for the milonga is $55 before Dec 31st and $65 at the door assuming there will be room left. NOTE: Purchasing the $55 ticket before the 14th of December you will be eligible for a drawing for 2 tickets to see "FOREVER TANGO" in San Francisco that starts on Dec, 20th and runs until January. - The Hotel is offering tangueros to stay double accommodation for $99 per room double occupancy December 31st. The Hotel itself is in the heart of Silicon Valley. It is the historic Cabana Hotel now the Crowne Plaza Cabana of Palo Alto. It was a hot spot for the celebrities in the 1960's including the Beatles, Frank Sinatra and the former owner Doris Day. Recently renovated and minutes away from San Francisco, Stanford University, museums, cultural exhibitions and the best shopping in Northern California. We had a New Years Event here last year and it proved to be a wonderful event. People are asking for more of the same.
