The next big Colorado Close-embrace Invitational will be in Denver
Wednesday through Monday, February 14 - 19, 2001.
- Wed: Valentines day Extravaganza
- Fri/Sat: Live Tango with Dan Diaz, Pablo Aslan & The Tango Camerata
- Sat: Omar Vega Workshop: Milonga Tras Pie
- Sun: Musicality Workshop with Pablo Aslan
- Sun: DJ Milonga.
What better way to spend a cold Valentine's Day in February than in
the warm, close embrace of a Colorado Tanguera or Tanguero! We have
chosen another 3-day weekend to put out the welcome mat for tango
visitors. Our last big invitational on Labor Day brought in over 60
guests from around the US.
Wednesday: Festivities begin on Wednesday with a Valentine's Day
Extravaganza featuring Dinner, Theater, and a Milonga.
Friday and Saturday: Dan Diaz and the Tango Camerata will present
live music for dancing with special invited guests, including Pablo
Aslan and Mauricio Najt of the New York Tango Trio.
Saturday: Omar will present a workshop on Milonga Tras-pie. Omar who
is doing a month-long residency in Denver & Boulder will also teaches
on Thursday in Boulder.
Sunday: will be dedicated to Pablo Aslan's well-known Tango
Musicality workshop.
This gives your feet a rest for Sunday's Farewell Milonga.
- Costs will be kept reasonable.
- We'll try to find lodging for visitors (send email early)
- Hyatt Regency downtown will negotiate to a reasonable price.
