The Golden Gate Milonga Presents Fernanda Ghi and Guillermo Merlo, Teaching Argentine Tango Fernanda and Guillermo recently took Miami by storm with their new hit show Tango Dreams. In April of 1999, Sony Productions recorded a video dedicated exclusively to Tango in New York City, "Tango Magic." Guillermo and Fernanda danced to the music provided by the Pablo Ziegler Orchestra and the Gijon Kremer. Major appearances include Tango Vivo, Tangoing . The have taught at various Tango Congress in London, Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Miami and and Israel. They also competed and earned the title of IDO World Champions in The Argentine Tango Division at the Fountainbleau Resort Hotel, Miami Beach, for the IDO Ballroom World Championships. In the last half of 1999, they toured The Middle East, opening new doors for Argentine tango in countries like Israel and Egypt, and later that same year they toured Europe where first they worked with the Famous Bandoneonist, Mosalini.

The first class will help you achieve synchronization when executing giros. The class will focus on the different roles of the man and woman and where the body position is the moment you turn. The second class will stress improvisation, and different alternatives from simple to complex giros. Sun, Jan 28, 2001 2:30 p.m. - 2:15 p.m. Ganchos 2:30 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. Ganchos Variations The Ganchos class will stress led ganchos, and when during the dance to use ganchos, balance of the body, and correct body position at the moment of executing a gancho. The second session will demonstrate how you can create different variations on the gancho when you dance. The workshops are for advanced and intermediate dancers. Workshop size is limited, so register early. The daily workshops are progressive, and participants in the 2nd session are encouraged to take the 1st session.
