Fabian Salas can be counted among them. With more than 15 years of teaching to his credit, Fabian is considered one of the few great 'professors' of our time. He is revered by his students (many of whom, have now become teachers themselves), commanding enormous respect from recognized stage performers and milongueros alike. A tireless researcher, Fabian, as one of the most respected names in Tango, has brought light to old beliefs and blazed new paths in the conception of the dance, creating an unmistakable way of dancing Tango. His Tango Think Tank, from his association with Gustavo Naveira, has spawned some unique and innovative ideas increasingly seen and adopted by the top stars of the stage. This study group helped launch or greatly influenced a new crop of exciting dancers such as Chicho, Pablo Veron, Julio Balmaceda, Lucia, Victoria, and countless others.
