The BIGGEST weekend of Tango in Tampa Bay is coming! From Friday, August 24th to Sunday, August 26th we will have a wonderful weekend of workshops, milongas, and a great show.
For the first time, we will have two couples from Argentina teaching classes. That means that we will offer a full weekend of intermediate classes and a full weekend of advanced classes. We are very proud to be hosting Miriam Larici & Hugo Patyn and Natalia Games & Gabriel Angio. Both couples teach classic Tango focusing on techniques and fundamentals rather than sequences of choreography. We are very glad to bring 'Tango X Three' back to Tampa Bay, featuring Miguel Arrabal on bandoneon, Jorge Vernieri or piano, and Rances Colon on double bass. This trio is terrific to dance to, we always have lots of requests to bring them back again and again. The show, 'A Night of Tango in Tampa' Show on Sunday is in a beautiful turn of the century theater that has been recently renovated. Joining our two featured couples will be a great singer from Uruguay, Jorge Sanchez plus other dance couples from around the Southeastern USA. This show is the fourth annual presentation and has been very well received each year. The evening also includes a wonderful Latin dinner before the show, served in Latam's Restaurant, located in the same building. There will also be lots of dancing in the huge Grand Ballroom before and after the show. This has always been a great evening of Tango and this year will be better than ever. Tampa Bay is a terrific place to come for a mini vacation. We have world famous beaches on the Gulf of Mexico just a few minutes drive away and we are only an hour and fifteen minutes from the Disney/Universal/Sea World theme parks in Orlando.
