The Tango Society of Boston celebrates its 4th anniversary with several special events, anchored by weekend workshops with Fabian Salas and Carolina del Rivero.

TANGO AT THE MFA (Fri, 29 June) ---------------------------------- The movie "Tango Pasion" will be screened at the Museum of Fine Arts, Remis Auditorium, 465 Huntington Av, Boston, at 8 pm, followed by live dance exhibition by Fabian Salas (featured in movies The Tango Lesson and Evita) and Carolina del Rivero, and music performance by Tango singer Temis Parola. The movie documents the sultry dance production of the same name which has toured the world several times over the past eight years. Filmed during two live performances at Paris' Theatre Des Champs Elysees, it features music by the renowned Sexteto Mayor Orchestra. Tickets $8 ($7 for students/seniors/MFA or Tango Society members). All preregistered attendees will be accepted. Classes could sell out for at-door attendees, so please call TangoLine on Saturday morning to check if this is the case if you have not preregistered. No partner is necessary--there will be frequent partner changes. Wear leather-soled shoes comfortable for dancing. Dress is casual for the workshops. However, "La Milonga" is a formal dance and appropriate attire is required.
