I want to thank everyone that made Tango Fireworks a special treat for me. It was a delight to meet so many customers face to face. I enjoyed meeting new customers as well. Thanks to everyone for your support and words of encouragement. This is not an easy business, but having such wonderful, supportive customers makes it all worthwhile.
We sold a bundle of shoes. It gave me a thrill to see 80 percent of the women wearing Tara shoes on the final night. But it's about more than selling shoes. I met customers with great ideas, with tips and advice. I met people who invited me into their lives in many ways. There was even a woman who just sat right down in the booth and started selling shoes as if she had been working with me from the beginning. There was one woman who named a new shoe design for me - "Deseo" (look for it in the Fall) and others who had ideas for marketing and advertising. One woman gave me a new positioning line for my ads - "Tara Design, Changing the Color of Tango" I got to meet Johanna Siegmann, who wrote the book "Tao of Tango" I'd recommend it to anyone who has been affected by this dance. I also got to know Ann Leva of Tangoleve designs. She is a wonderful woman who is committed to designing lovely dancing clothes. I also met my competition, Jorge Nel (Mr. Tango Shoes) who turned out to be a GREAT dancer. When he asked me to dance he said with a glint in his eye, "An alliance of shoemakers" Thanks again to everyone who attended.
