Pierre Dulaine Dance Club is pleased to announce workshops by Danel and Maria. If you are in the New York City area or will be visiting here don't miss this opportunity to study with the masters. They introduced many people to tango around the United States when they toured with the original production of "Tango Argentino" as guest instructors. Many current instructors around the country started with them. They have followed the tango scene in Buenos Aires for many years and have brought to the United States some of the greatest dancers and teachers ever including Juan Carlos Copes and Maria Nieves, Miguel Zotto and Milena Plebs, Facundo and Kely, Pablo Veron, just to name a few. They are respected and revered by many in the tango world.
The workshops will be held on Sunday November 18, 2001 from 2:00 - 6:15 PM and will consist of the following: 2:00 - 3:30PM: Tango and Milonga Technique. This class is geared to the basic student with some tango knowledge. Beginning to Intermediate but valuable for Advanced students as well. 3:45 -5:15PM: Tango and Milonga con Traspie. This class is for Intermediate to Advanced students only and will deal strongly with technique. Traspie Milonga uses many double time and syncopated rhythms. Ever wonder how to lead those? Or follow them? This is the perfect opportunity to polish your technical skills in both tango and milonga no matter how advanced you are. 5:15 - 6:15PM: Practica for all. Pierre Dulaine Dance Club is a great space with a 2000 sq.ft. floor. Located near Macy's and Penn Station and accessible from several subway lines. There will be room for plenty but please call for prices and to reserve as the classes will probably fill up. Pierre Dulaine D.C. 25 W. 31st St., 4th fl. New York, NY 212-244-8400
