YES FOLKS, Pablo Pugliese and Luciana Valle in Austin at the same time.
We're doing it again. Our last two Fandango de Tangos were an absolute
blast. People are still saying wonderful things about them. Again, we're
bringing you a special opportunity to learn from the best!
We've brought together the TWO MOST INFLUENTIAL Tango Masters in history
of Argentine Tango in Austin, TX. These two teachers have a played a special
role in developing the community of dancers in Austin, and as many of you
know, all over the U.S.A. They are refined, intuitive, exciting, and best of
all, FUN to learn from. Their enthusiasm, energy, and innate ability to
teach you to Tango will touch your heart, and your feet.
We've put together 5 wonderful days of classes that will show you
everything from the structure and development of the Tango, to some of the
most intricate and sophisticated components Tango has to offer. In addition,
we have 1 practica, 3 Milongas, and lots of practice time between classes.
The classes are not for novice Tango dancers. Although our staff are
marvelous teachers of Tango at any level, we are planning all the classes at
an Intermediate, or, Advanced level. We do want to clarify, however, that
all the moves taught will start off with the fundamental techniques required
to accomplish the movements.
So come out and learn, dance, socialize, and enjoy, the dance called
Tango. (*NOTE: A lot of interest has been developing for these workshops,
SO SIGN UP SOON!) REMEMBER, NO PARTNERS ARE REQUIRED FOR ANY OF OUR EVENTS!
Our fun-filled learning extravaganza includes lots of opportunity to
practice and dance. We will be having some of the best Tango Dance Parties
Friday & Saturday night (Sat. the teachers will be performing!) Don't miss
our Texas Tango Brunch where you can eat, drink dance and enjoy more
performances by our staff.
It has been a wonderful year of Tango at Learn to Dance Austin, and we
are proud to cap it off with such a great event.
Please note our "Early Bird" Packages available if you register by Nov. 9th.

About the Argentine Tango Instructors
Pablo Pugliese, along with his mother, Esther, has taught all over the world.
The Pugliese family of Tango dancers is revered in the Tango world. Their
ability to impart information that makes learning to dance Tango easy, is
unparalleled. The Puglieses run one of the most highly acclaimed Tango Dance
Academies in Buenos Aires. All of the top Tango teachers & dancers have gone
through training with the Puglieses. It is so exciting to have Pablo back
again. Come see why the Puglieses are so admired in the Tango world.

Luciana Valle has been a professional partner to Fabian Salas, Daniel
Trenner, Chicho, & Gustavo Naveira. She has been an innovator along with
those men in the newer, more experimental forms of Tango. However, her
initial training is rooted in the study of the older Tango Masters. In other
words, she's well-rounded in the teaching of Argentine Tango. Luciana is
well versed in English, French and her native Spanish. She has taught in
Canada, Brazil, & throughout the U.S. Luciana is well-respected as a
teacher, not just by her students but also by her peers, because she is
constantly striving to learn more about the Tango. She will energize and
strengthen your Tango while showing you the latest techniques. These
teachers are SUPERB, you will love them!!!

The Workshops have 2 levels of instruction; Intermediate and,
Advanced. The teachers will rotate and give their expertise in each level.
All levels will emphasize increasing your variety and improving your leading
& following skills. Although the class levels are set, the content of the
classes will be determined by the teachers. That is why there are no
specific titles for the classes. Rest assured, the material will be fun,
fabulous and definitely will improve your Tango. Classes will include
teaching variations with Ganchos, Arrastres, Paradas, Giros, Ochos, etc.
Also, we will spend time working on Vals & Milonga. But again, the teachers
will be balancing the material with technique & proper Tango structure. The
"COMBO" classes are a unique twist this year. The COMBO Class is for both
Intermediate and Advanced levels. The material is pertinent to both levels
and is not defined by skill. In other words, we all need to know the
techniques taught in these COMBO Classes. Topics covered will include
connecting to your partner, leading/following better, floor craft, musical
interpretation, changing the embrace and why, and many other pertinent
topics. Although the teachers will be covering these topics frequently
throughout the other classes these will be topics we don't want anyone to
miss because they were signed up for a different level. These COMBO classes
will help fuse together all the other material you will be learning in your
specific levels.
Consider using this guide to help you determine what level of classes you
should sign up for. This is just a guide. Call if you have any questions.
Register for the Intermediate classes if:
You know you aren't ready for Advanced material. You need more technique
and variety. You don't feel like a Beginner anymore; you can lead or follow
comfortably and have a nice vocabulary of tango that allows you to be
somewhat flexible on the dance floor, yet, you aren't quite improvisational.
Register for the Advanced classes if:
Others have told you are good.; you are progressive in your ideas of
Tango; you know a lot, yet you realized how much more there is to learn; your
Tango has matured; you contribute to the art of Tango; you understand the
connection to the music & your partner is what matters most; improvisation
is the name of your dance.

**NOTE TO OUT-OF-TOWNERS: We have a special
Thanksgiving gathering for you that will make you feel right at home. Please
give us a call, or email us for more details.

ABOUT THE CLASSES: Although class times are set, the content of the classes
will be determined by the teachers' expertise. That is why there are no
specific titles for the classes. The teachers will be alternating their
teaching times, and they will determine what is taught & who teaches it.
Rest assured, the material will be fun, fabulous and definitely will improve
your Tango.
The "COMBO" classes are a unique twist this year. They are for both
Intermediate and Advanced levels. The material is pertinent to both levels
and is not defined by skill. In other words, we all need to know the
techniques taught in these COMBO Classes. Some of the topics covered will
include connecting to your partner, strengthening your lead/follow, floor
craft, musical interpretation, changing the embrace and why, developing
better giros, making your ochos the best they can be, and many other
pertinent topics. Although the teachers will be covering these areas
frequently throughout the other classes, these will be topics we don't want
anyone to miss because they were signed up for a different level. These
COMBO classes will help fuse all the other material you will be learning in
your specific levels.
