Below is the pricelist for the events of New Year's week in Todi, including two levels of discount based on the date of reservation. Also listed are prices of the most economical accommodations (very clean and comfortable). Since space in these lower-priced accommodations is limited, it's best to reserve early. When these are filled, we start using other hotels in town which are more expensive, or are not in the center.
For our non-European friends, a Euro is about $.88 US. and L. 1.000 is currently about $.45 US. So if you want to come for one week, do the whole program, and stay at the Crispolti hotel with all meals included, you'll spend a total of $650 US, plus airfare of $450-600 (from NY or Miami) for a magical and romantic New Year's week in Italy with these tango greats. For those of you who don't know these maestros, Milena Plebs is considered one of the greatest tango dancers in the world - some say she is the very best. She was the co-creator of the company Tango X 2 with Miguel Angel Zotto. (Ezequiel is her new partner, and we've been hearing good things about him.) And you may know Carlos Copelo and Alicia Monti from Forever Tango, or from Sally Potter's film "The Tango Lesson" - Carlos was the dark man in the white suit who often danced with Sally in the milongas, prompting scenes of jealousy with both their partners. When I ask any argentino who are the best male tango dancers, they usually name two or three, among whom is Carlos Copelo. Finally, El Pajaro, Diego Riemer, is a tall and handsome porteno, who thrills partners, audiences and students especially with his milonga con traspie. I'm here to answer any questions!
