Tangueros & Tangueras For those of you who just can't wait 'till next October for another Portland TangoFest, a Portland Valentine Tango Gala will be happening Friday-Sunday, February 15-17, 2002.
Tango maestros are: 1. Hugo & Miriam from Argentina, 2. Jorge Nel from Miami, 3. Yvonne Meisnner from Amsterdam, and 4. Christopher & Caroline from San Francisco. Tentative schedule is: FRI FEB 15 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM Workshops at Viscount Ballroom 8:30-? Practica at Temple Ballroom SAT FEB 16 11:00 AM - 6:30 PM Workshops at Viscount Ballroom 8:30-1:00 AM Milonga at Alberta Station Ballroom 1:00 AM - ? Post Alberta Station Milonga at Alex Krebs new studio SUN FEB 17 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM Workshops at Viscount Ballroom 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Potluck at Alex Krebs Studio 10:00 PM - ? Valentine Milonga at the Viscount Two classes will run concurrently with 11 different class times (22 different classes) to choose from. Full preregistration (before Feb 6, 2002) for all workshops at the Visount is $135. ($10 administration charge for refunds.) As soon as I get more information I'll send it out to you.
