Tango Colorado hosts its Annual Holiday Milonga this Saturday at the Denver Turnverein (1570 Clarkson St., Denver) from 9:00 PM to 3:00 am. We will have live music by the Extasis Octet. This is our big winter party. Women come dressed to the 9's and the guys are always in demand. On New Year's Eve, the Mercury Cafe (22nd and California, Denver) hosts a special milonga with Tango Lorca from Kansas City. The dancing begins at 1:00 am and ends after the sun rises. A Pre-Mercury warm-up (stay awake) party will be hosted by local tanguera Carol Morris. Throughout the month of December the Mercury Cafe will host its regular Friday milonga from 10:30 to 2:00 am. They will all include live music with DJ music in between sets. The bands are as follows: December 14th: Extasis Quartet December 21st: Tango Camerata with Dan Diaz December 28th: Tango Lorca If you care to arrive earlier, please join us for our Denver practice on Tues. at the Denver Turnverein or the Thursday practice in Boulder at the Pearl Street Studios.
