Argentine Tango in Canberra with Gaston Valdes and Abha Mahoney Argentinian-raised and Perth-based Gaston Valdes returns to Canberra with dance partner and teacher Abha Mahoney for a week of intensive workshops covering the elements of Tango.
The week of dancing commences with Milonga a Media Luna, on Friday 1st February. Gaston and Abha will give a free class from 7pm to 8pm and the evening will also feature a special tango performance. Enjoy a night of dancing and indulge in a light Turkish supper with a free drink all included in your ticket price! The week following will be a feast of tango workshops which include five workshops covering the elements of Tango, one workshop on Stage Tango (Fantasia), a workshop on Milonga (including Milonga Traspie) as well as a workshop on Vals. Attractive discounts are available for those who have never danced tango before and to those who introduce such beginners to Gaston and Abha's classes! Special discounts are also available to students. Private lessons for singles, couples and small groups are available Monday to Thursday mornings and early afternoons, but it is necessary to book early as places are limited.
