THE LEGEND RETURNS: Orlando Paiva will be in the SF Bay Area January 25-February
18.
Orlando s exquisite style, his impeccable footwork, and the sweetness he brings
to his partner and the dance are uniquely his. A dancer s dancer,
he has been publicly honored by Nito Garcia, Juan Carlos Copes, and
Robert Duvall as the finest of his generation. One of the first maestros
to introduce salon-style Argentine tango in the U.S., Orlando inspired the
fledgling San Francisco tango community in 1987, returning many times
since. His home is in Rosario, Argentina,where he taught Marcelo Solis,
Yanina, Diego and Gabriela.
