About Fernanda & Guillermo:

Fernanda & Guillermo have been featured with the dance companies of "Tango
Vivo" and "Tangoing", have appeared in the Sony Productions video - "Tango
Magic", have been instructors at the International Tango Congress in Buenos
Aires (C.I.T.A.), US Tango Congress in Miami, London International Tango
Festival, the International Tango Festival in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem. They
were the World Champions in Argentine Tango at IDO 1999.

"It happens I've known Guillermo since 1990, when he was a young star in
the Copes company. He went on to "Forever Tango," then he and Fernanda found
each other and he really started to come into his own (in the Tango way!)
Guillermo has a fast and athletic style and is a polished stage performer -
but really he just loves to dance (this is meant as an ultimate compliment).
Fernanda is an extraordinary woman; creative, gifted, blessed with
talent and skills.
Their classes are worth so full of value and insight. They teach things
others either never thought of or weren't able to conceive. They do
workshops that bring your body along with your mind, so to speak.
Of particular note is their ability to communicate how partners
communicate.
With their stage work, they push the boundaries in ways that astonish.
They exude strength, style, character, humor and personality. They are
living and making a history that is adding excitement and depth to the Tango
world." Keith Elshaw - "ToTANGO.net"

"Tango is much more than a bunch of steps; tango is a way to communicate
using your body, tango is an embrace for three minutes and tango is the
dance of expression with infinite emotions". Fernanda & Guillermo.

About Tango Lorca:

In October '97, Christine Brebes (violin) and Beau Bledsoe (guitar) formed a
unique classical chamber ensemble specializing in the music of Latin
cultures. Named after the Spanish poet, Federico Garcia Lorca, Duo Lorca has
created a new repertoire of original guitar and violin arrangements of many
classical works, as well as Argentine Tangos, Spanish flamenco dances and
Latin-American folk songs. With over 230 performances last year alone, Duo
Lorca has successfully combined virtuosic ability with highly original
programming to assure the audience a truly captivating performance. Duo
Lorca has formed "Tango Lorca" by having Brad Cox - piano and Pablo Motta -
bass join the duo.
For their performance in the Triangle, Tango Lorca will be featuring Dan
Diaz on the bandoneon!

About Dan Diaz:

"Dan Diaz and the Tango Camerata: Dan Diaz is leading a modern-era dance
orchestra that has some elements of the progressive
(Pugliese/Piazzolla/Salgan) sound but has adhered to more of golden age
dance rhythm even when playing Piazzolla's music." - "A DJ's Guide to
post-Golden-Age recordings" by Stephen Brown.
He was born in San Nicolas, Buenos Aires Province in Argentina and started
his studies of music at age six under the tutelage of Bandoneon Master
Arcangel Juan Stefano and the great bandoneon master Ciriaco Ortiz. At age
seven, he performed for the first time at the Theatre of San Nicolas. At age
12, he formed and directed his first orchestra. At age 16 he moved to Buenos
Aires where he played with various orchestras and studied with teachers such
as Ciriaco Ortiz. At age 18, he moved to Mar del Plata where he won the Mar
del Plata Music Festival. He became part of the orchestras of radio LU6 and
LU9 of Mar del Plata. He also performed at the casino and many area night
clubs. He exceled in the performance of music from Argentina: Tango, the
music of the city, and folklore, the music of the gauchos.
In 1970, he immigrated to the United States and completed postgraduate
studies in music, audio, acoustics and recording arts at Brigham Young
University. The premier performance of his ensemble The Tango Camerata was
Tango Times at the Wooddruff Arts Center in Atlanta a program with 13
musicians produced and directed by Mr. Diaz. He performs regularly in
Denver, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and other places in the US and Canada.
