DC s First Tango Marathon: EAST meets WEST
March 8-10, 2002

Dancers from the West Coast will join the East Coast crowd for 3 days of
non-stop tango. Master workshops, late night and all-night milongas with
guest DJ s, yoga classes, massage, and more!

Jean-Sebastien Rampazzi (Paris):Outstanding teacher, sought-after
choreographer and performer  Originating from the ever-moving tango
metropolis, Paris, Jean-Sebastien has devoted himself to tango as we know it
beyond its borders. His constant search for new musical, technical, and
chorographical horizons has not only enhanced his own dancing, it also
inspires his workshops in Europe and the US, as much as his contemporary
dance and theatre projects in Paris and Berlin

Alex Krebs (Portland):Alex's reputation extends way beyond the Northwest -
into Europe (where he has taught in four countries) - and Buenos Aires
(where he lived for over six months during three visits to Argentina). He
has also co-taught with Argentine master Florencia Taccetti in, and
performed with Luciana Valle and Florencia at the milonga "Torquato Tasso"
in Buenos Aires.

And Anne-Sophie Villi from Washington for the Beginners Classes

Saturday March 9th
12.00   3.00Pm; Beginner 3-hour workshop I with Anne-Sophie
1.00   2.30pm:  Intermediate 1 with Alex
       or      Advanced 1 with Jean-Sebastien
3.00   4.30 pm: Intermediate 2 with Alex
       or      Advanced 2 with Jean-Sebastien
Yoga for Tango Dancers class And Massages

9.00 pm-5.00am: ALL NIGHT MILONGA with  DJ ALEX KREBS From Portland


Sunday March 10th
2.00   5.00pm:  Beginner 3-hour  workshop II with Anne-Sophie
3.00   4.30pm   Advanced 1 with Alex
         or    Specialty with Jean-Sebastien
5.00   6.30pm   Advanced 2 with Alex
         or    Specialty with Jean-Sebastien

Beginner s Package: 2 workshops (3 hours each), 2 milongas: $50
Full Package: 4 interm/advanced workshops, 3 milongas (check classes
