Stars of Ballet Pampas, New York City, and of "Camila" the tango musical staged recently in the Walnut Square Theatre, specializing in Argentine tango and folkloric dance, as well as innovators in "tango salsa", will be visiting the San Francisco Bay area, February 6-13th. Feb. 6th: 7:30-9:30 p.m. Choreography I (Part I of a 2 part series) Individual help with developing a sensational, sizzling choreographic routine. Setting the stage, choosing the music, telling the story, dramatic and comic elements of the dance. Wed. feb. 13th: 6:15-7:45 p.m. Beginners tango (1st class of a 6 week series with guest teachers including Yvonne Meissner, Glenn Corteza and Jorge Nel) Series: $40 for Claremont members, $50 non-members. Drop-in single class: $10/$15. The Claremont Hotel, corner Domingo and Tunnel Rd., Berkeley 8:30-10:30 p.m. Choreography II (2nd of a 2 part series). A further exploration and refinement of choreography I. Fluidity, breathing, stagecraft. Putting the final touches on your routine. (Be sure to bring your video camera as we will use that as a tool for feedback and also to capture for memories.)
