The teachers for this event will be Yvonne Meissner and Eduardo Aguirre who are visiting the San Francisco Bay area for the 1st time Feb. 20th-March 3rd Both Yvonne and Eduardo have taught world wide and in many tango festivals. Yvonne's primary studio is in the Netherlands. She specializes in teaching the use of the torso and torsion, synchronization of the movement of the couple and interaction between lead and follow. Her main teachers have been Gustavo Naveira, Pepito Avellaneda, Susanna Miller and Pocho Pizarro. Eduardo is one of the most exciting authentic milongueros of Buenos Aires. He has taught several tango series on Solo Tango TV as well as having taught at numerous tango salons including Almagro and Nino Bien. His dance is extremely vivid with unexpected turns of direction that integrate smooth softness and unpredictable staccato. Their Canaro vals workshops are famous for their passion, double and triple times and frequent syncopations. 9-10:30 p.m. Tango de Salon - all levels Class before the "All-night Milonga" and exhibition dance at midnight.
