SEATTLE'S FIRST EVER TANGO MARATHON Seattle's tango teachers have gotten together to create a weekend of workshops, practicas and AND LOTS AND LOTS OF tango dancing. Although exact class titles and some locations have yet to be finalized, here's a preliminary "heads up" schedule.
FRIDAY, MAY 10, 2002 -Workshop and milonga at the Wilsonian Ballroom, 4718 University Way NE, Seattle 7:30-9:00 PM Tango Workshop with Seattle's Tango Mixto Especial (Steve, Deena, Sue & Clay) - $15 9:00-1:00 AM Milonga hosted by Michelle and Larry - $5 SATURDAY, MAY 11, 2002 - Workshops and practica at Sonny's Newmans' Dance Hall, 201 N 85th St, Seattle 12:30-2:00 PM Tango Workshop with Seattle's Nuevo Tango Trio (James, Mario, & Garin) - $15 2:15-3:45 PM Tango Workshop with Seattle's Tango Classics (Sonny, Patty, Michelle & Evan) - $15 4:00-7:00 PM Supervised Practica with all teachers in attendance and available - $5 8:30-4:30 PM All-Night Milonga with lesson 8:30-9:30 PM at Fusion Dance Studio, 340 15th East, Seattle hosted by Tony & Ilana pending their agreement. SUNDAY, MAY 12, 2002 - The Seattle Argentine Community will be Coordinating this days events (location to be announced). 12:20-2:00 PM Workshop with Seattle Tango Argentines (Alex, Patricia & Gabriela) - $15 2:00-5:00 PM Tango Tea Milonga hosted by the Seattle Argentine Community - $5 7:30-? Milonga at Sonny's Studio with a lesson by Sonny from 7:30-8:30 PM - $5 AND THE BEST PART: If you buy the Gold Package Deal in advance (includes all 4 workshops on Fri-Sun, Friday Milonga, Saturday Practica, and Sunday Tango Tea Dance) the price is ONLY $50 (Saving you $25!).
