About Leandro and Andrea:
Still in their twenties, Leandro Palou and Andrea Misse are an exciting
young couple in the world of Argentine tango. Andrea's dance studies begin
at the age of five with Argentine folkloric dances. Switching to Argentine
tango at age eleven, she studied with Carlos Rivarola and a number of older
milongueros. She polished her skills working with Miguel Zotto, Osvaldo
Zotto and Antonio Todaro, who readied her for the stage. Leandro began
learning and dancing tango in the traditional manner by going to practicas
and milongas as a teenager. At the age of 17, he realized that he had
developed a passion for tango and studied seriously with the most highly
regarded tango dancers in Buenos Aires. After several years of intense
study, he began dancing professionally. Leandro and Andrea have been
working together as a professional couple since 1995. They have peformed
in Buenos Aires and other cities around the world. In 2000 they formed
TangoDanza, an Argentine tango dance company which has performed to
sold-out houses and rave reviews in several North American cities.

As teachers, Leandro and Andrea are nearly magical. They bring a fresh
enthusiasm for tango that is melded with polished skills, years of
experience, and a legacy that stretches back to the golden-era of tango.
They are warm and personable and a among the most sought-after teachers in
the young generation of tango dancers.

With best regards,
Steve
