Greetings to friends of Dale Meyer, On this Saturday, June 29, 2002 at 10AM until 1PM there will be a memorial gathering in Golden Gate Park at a location just inside the 41st Street entrance to the park. Everyone in the tango community is invited to share in this opportunity to honor Dale for all the joy and excitement he brought to the Bay Area, and to show the great admiration we have for this fine man. This will be an informal gathering; casual dress is fine, and a small contribution of finger food and/or drink will be appreciated (but not required), something that will not entail plates and utensils (pastries, cheese, dips, fruit, nuts, etc.). Some of you may wish to share an anecdote about Dale with the group. It is our hope this gathering of friends and lovers of tango will offer comfort to Dale's life partner, Kate, and to his three sons who will be here from out of state. PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD.
This invitation is extended at the request of Kate and we hope to see you Saturday. Even a drop-by would be appreciated. The weather in the park can be variable so check the weather report and dress accordingly and layered. Kate will have balloons out marking the spot. Should you need further information or directions, please call Ginger at 650-233-8981. Love, Ginger and Dick PS The 41st Street entrance to the park is in the Sunset District of SF. For those of you coming from the south, take 19th Avenue to Lincoln, turn left to 41st Street (this is at the Southwest side of the park).
