About Susana:
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Susana is one of the most well known and
highly regarded tango instructors. She teaches a close embrace style known
as milonguero - a style noted for its rhythm, musicality and connection
between partners, using compact steps that encourage creative improvisation.
Deceptively simple, this style is rich in subtlety, internal
communication, and passion. It is the predominant form of social tango in
Buenos Aires and in many other tango communities around the world.

Susana established La Academia in Buenos Aires in response to the great
demand for her teaching. She also teaches each year in both the U.S. and
Europe. An expert teacher, Susana is widely regarded for the way she
communicates the material which enables her beginning students to dance
confidently and with ease and her more advanced students to dance fluidly
and with complex variations, and for everyone to dance in the music .

Susana is also the owner of the very popular El Beso, one of the few clubs
in Buenos Aires dedicated to tango every night. In addition to her
teaching, touring and hosting of milongas, Susana is often called upon by
journalists and academia to provide insight into the tango culture in Buenos
Aires.
