The Tango Society of Central Illinois is hosting a milonga from 9 PM - 12:30
AM on Saturday July 13 at the Phillips Recreation Center at the corner of
Springfield and McCullough in Urbana, IL. The cost of admission is $5.

The Phillips Recreation Center has a large hardwood floor (2300 sq ft) and an
excellent sound system for your enjoyment. The Phillips Recreation Center is
a smoke-free environment.

Prior to the milonga, at 7:30 PM, there is a workshop entitled 'Rhythm
Tango', given by Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau. The cost of the workshop is
$25 ($20 for students) and includes admission to the milonga.

Gloria and Eduardo are also giving the following workshops on Sun July 14 at
the Regent Ballroom (1406 Regency Drive West) in Savoy, IL (a suburb of
Champaign-Urbana):

2:00 PM: Milonga (beginner level)
3:30 PM: Milonga (intermediate level)
5:00 PM: Vals

The cost of these workshops (including the pre-milonga workshop Saturday) is
$25 for the first workshop taken and $20 for each additional workshop
(students: $20 for first / $15 additional).

Private lessons are also available on Friday evening July 12 and Saturday
daytime.

Gloria and Eduardo will also be giving workshops in Champaign-Urbana on
Sat-Sun July 20-21. Details will follow when finalized.

Biography:

Gloria and Eduardo Arquimbau are world famous stage performers, whose list of
successful shows includes "Tango Argentino" and "Forever Tango". They grew up
during the Golden Age of Tango and have first hand experience with many of
the original styles of tango danced during the peak of popularity of tango in
Buenos Aires. They are dedicated in their teaching to communicating their
knowledge and experience to students taking their classes. "Rhythm Tango"
represents the emphasis Gloria and Eduardo place on connecting with the
rhythm of tango. Gloria and Eduardo have a highly organized presentation
style and a fun attitude which greatly enhances student learning. Their
wonderful dancing also provides a great model for learning authentic styles
of tango.

Phillips Recreation Center: (Sat milonga + workshop): Take I-74 to Lincoln
Avenue (Urbana). Go south approx. 1.5 mi to Springfield, turn left. The
Phillips Center is 3 blocks further, on the left.

Regent Ballroom: (Sun workshops): Take I-74 to Neil Street (Champaign). Go
south about 3.5 miles to Burwash Avenue (Honda dealer and gas station on
corner, by the Savoy Theatre). Turn right and go about 4 blocks to Regency
Drive. Turn left, the Regent Ballroom is in sight on the left.
