This year, an extra day and night have been added to the Tangomagia
festival in Amsterdam, to celebrate the festival's lustrum. The "fiesta
de despedida" takes place on December 31. In this special night
Tangomagia will celebrate New Year's Eve with dancers from all over the
world.
Because of the lustrum celebration, 3 special events are added to the
programme:
* on December 27, the festival will open with a multi-media
dance/theatre show called "Turbulencia". With all maestros, artistic
direction: Gustavo Naveira.
* on 29 december there will be a very special concert called "Homage to
Osvaldo Pugliese": the orchestras Color Tango and Sexteto Canyengue will
join to form an "orquesta típica". They will play arrangements that Don
Osvaldo wrote exclusively for Orquesta Típica (some of these
arrangements have not been performed before).
* during the festival there will be a special project for young people
called "Tango para niños". Maestros: Federico en Ariadna Naveira, Olga
Besio. There will be a presentation during the fiesta de despedida on
December 31.

information about the evenings, workshops, and acces to the on-line
registration form.
