Come join the Bay Area Argentine Tango Association in the first of the month SUPER TANGO SUNDAY on August 4. You can dance from noon until midnight.
First stop is Tango Gelato in San Francisco. 2015 Fillmore Street near Pine. Christy Cote will be by with some of her Tango students from the Metronome. Rumors are that the SF Chronicle will be by to do another story on Tango Gelato, BATango, and the local tango community. The dancing starts at Noon. BATango members get free gelato with their membership card. Noon - 4(or until the dancers all leave) Next Stop is Golden Gate Park Bandshell with Barrio Tango. The free class with Jocelyn and Roberto starts at 3:30. Come join the practica and dance until 6. Head across the Bay Bridge to the Lake Merritt Dance Center at the foot of Grand Ave near Harrison. This lovely old building hosts a milonga by Tangoamedialuz. Enjoy the lovely light buffet supper, a fashion show, and of course the milonga with special guest DJ Polo.
