Seattle Tango Workshop with Cacho Dante, October 25th-27th
Cacho Dante is one of Buenos Aires' true milongueros. He has been dancing
tango for over 40 years. Cacho was there on the last years of the golden era
of tango in the 1950's, and cultivates his dance to this day. Cacho worked
with Susan Miller for several years, and together they did an important work
of decodification of the milonguero language, which allowed them to teach it
to the international public. During the last thirteen years, Cacho has
taught the close embrace or "milonguero" style not only in Buenos Aires, but
also in annual tours of Europe and the United States. Being a pureblooded
milonguero and having developed precise teaching method is the combination
that makes Cacho an exceptional tango teacher in the world. In tribute to
his fame as a dancer, Cacho was featured as one of the Buenos Aires
milongueros in the film "The Tango Lesson." This will be Cacho's sixth U.S.
