Location: All workshops and Thursday & Sunday milonga are at the Viscount
Ballroom, 722 E Burnside, Portland, Oregon--1.5 miles from the center of
downtown Portland. (for a map, click: http://maps.yahoo.com/) Other milongas
are at various locations.

Public Transportation: Excellent light rail transportation exists from the
airport to downtown. For complete details of trains and busses see
http://www.tri-met.org/schedule/r090.htm

Workshop Structure: Generally there will be four levels of workshops running
concurrently (Beginners, Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, and Strictly
Advanced). You do not need to select the level of the workshop you wish to
attend--only the time slots. At any time you may switch to a different class
level within the time slot you have paid for. Changing partners will be
encouraged at each class.

Video Taping Policy: No video taping will be allowed during the class.
However, each class will conclude with a 5-10 minute summary at which time only
those who have purchased a $40 will be allowed to tape. Video taping of any of
the performances is permitted by anyone (no video pass required) on the
condition that they provide Clay Nelson with one copy which can then be given
to the instructor/performers.

Housing: There are two hotels within one block of the Viscount. Other hotels
are 7 blocks to several miles away. Some housing is available with local
Portland tangueros. For complete information see Bill's Web Site at
http://home.europa.com/~walsup/tango/tangofest/housing.html

Food: Several restaurants are within walking distance of the Viscount. A map
will be provided in your registration packet. Light breakfast items in the
morning and lunch items at noon will be sold at the Viscount Ballroom.

Discussion Groups: Several free discussion groups will take place during the
daytime covering topics such as "building a tango community", "recent history
of tango", and a video with interviews of "B.A. milongueros" Schedule to be
posted during the workshops.

Milongas: Thursday and Sunday evening milongas will be at the Viscount.
Milongas on other nights will be at various locations (see schedule below).
Public transportation (except for taxis) is not easily accessible for the other
milongas. I am working with the hosts of each milonga to provide some car
pooling for our guests. Details to be posted at the workshops. Admission to
all milongas will be paid at the door.

Orchestra & DJ's: Four top tango DJ's (Dan Boccia, Tom Stermitz, Jo Anne
Palubinskas, and Robin Thomas) will playing their music. The Pepe Motta Tango
Quartet, an excellent, authentic Argentine dance orchestra, will be playing
Sunday evening at the Viscount Grand Finale All-Night Tango Ball.

Performances: Some performances by the instructors will happen at the Friday
and Saturday milongas at 11:30 PM. The major performance show takes place
Sunday evening at 10:00 PM.

Vendors: Various vendors selling shoes, CD's, videos, clothing, jewelry, etc
will be set up at the workshops.
