As if 40 tango teachers in 5 days and milongas every night wasn't enough of a temptation, Clay Nelson is adding more. During this year's Portland TangoFest, October 16 - 20, there will be several chamuyos. (A chamuyo is a discussion/seminar/talk thing.)
One that is catching a lot of attention is on "Building A Tango Community." Come to share your experiences and to learn from others. Another discussion will include a presentation of Barbara Durr's documentary on Argentina's legendary tangueros. It's a work-in-progess, but promises to be fascinating and inspiring. There will be other discussions, too. We'll keep you posted.
