Argentine Tango and Salsa

"Ballet Las Pampas"  from New York City, the host of "Milonga de Angel" and

? Argentine Tango for beginners

6:30- 7:45 p.m.  Learn the fundamentals of this sensual, romantic dance in a
relaxed, fun setting.  Small classes and lots of individual attention for
maximum speed in advancing.

? Argentine Tango for advanced beginners/intermediates

6:30-8:30  p.m.  Come early and stay late.  Review the fundamentals and
proceed on to more advanced material including giros, ganchos, sacadas and
pasadas. 2 hours of class.  A field trip to a milonga at the end of the
series for all students (price not included in series).

? New York Style Salsa for beginners

8:30-9:45 p.m. Learn the flips, dips and turns from a salsa virtuoso.  There
will be a special free make-up class for those starting the series late.  A
field trip to a salsa club will take place at the end of the series (price
not included in series).

The Claremont Hotel, 41 Tunnel Rd., Berkeley,  Monday, Sept. 16 - Oct 21st.
Each series consists of  6  classes.  $60 members, $75 non-members; drop in
$15/$20 single class. All ages welcome, singles welcome.

?  Advanced  argentine Tango at the metronome, angel and Christy

(Wednesdays, Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23) class 9-10 p.m.,  practica 10-10:30 p.m.

Material will include advanced giros and enrosques, elegant moves including
carpa (leans), boleos, pausa, embellishments. 1830 17th St., SF. $60 adv,

?  Salsa and Tango workshops on Saturday Oct 12. Lake Merritt Dance Center,
Oakland

12-12:30 p.m. Absolutely free!  An introductory class in tango - open to
all.

12:30- 2 p.m. Tango: Advanced technique and embellishments for men and
women.

2-3:30 p.m. Tango: Simple lifts, dips and jumps.  (No beginners please!)

3:45-5:30 p.m. "SalsaTangoSalsa"   Romance with chispa.  A workshop for the
more advanced salsa dancer which will include Angel's special fusion tango
salsa steps.

$22/workshop or $55 for all three.
