Buenos Aires, Argentina

February 7-17, 2003



When it is cold and wet in the northern climes, it is the end of balmy
summer in Argentina.  The perfect time to dance outside under the stars.  A
special month in Argentina when everyone celebrates the romance of tango.



Your dream trip to Buenos Aires will include:

* 9 days and 8 nights stay in a modern 4 star hotel in the heart of Buenos
Aires, air-conditioned, with private bath, internet connection, and
scrumptious buffet all-you-can-eat daily breakfasts

*Transfers to and from airport to hotel

*Orientation tour of Buenos Aires- to see Casa Rosada (presidential palace),
El Congreso, Avenida de Mayo, Palermo, Recoleta, the famous cemetery where
Evita is buried, Obelisk, Opera house, racetrack, port,  with a stop for the
famous pizza with faina and Argentinian ice cream, the best in the world.

*Visit  to famous San Telmo antique and flea market, full of music, mimes,
and great buys.  Participate in the street dancing at Plaza Dorrego.  At
your own cost you may choose to lunch to a live tango show at one of the
many small "boliches". *Visit to the shoemaker, to order custom made shoes

*An all day trip to visit the gauchos in a typical estancia for horseback
riding, swimming, BBQ lunch and folkloric show

* An afternoon of dancing at Confiteria Ideal afternoon milonga as seen in
the movies

* Visit to Club de Tango where Oscar can find you any tango CD your heart
desires

* 3 master dance workshops arranged especially for our group

*Entry to two tango shows, one of which will be to Senor Tango, the best
dinner and tango show in Buenos Aires

*6 Milonga and 1 practica entry fees

*Escort by knowledgeable tanguero guides

***** And finally exclusive to our trip:  A visit to La Boca, the area where
tango started, accompanied by famed tango artist, Guillermo Alio, winner of
Venice Biennial Art award, who will personally introduce you to the artists
and their work.

*And finally, plenty of free time for shopping in the exclusive Recoleta
area or Calle Florida or for the culturally minded, a visit to the Museo de
Bellas Artes





The low low land cost of $1295  for 9 days and 8 nights includes all this
and much more.  This cost is based on double room occupancy.  Single room
supplement please add $300.  For folks leaving from NYC, airfare can be
arranged, for a total cost of land and air of $1795 based on double
occupancy.



Cost of trip does not include: taxi rides within the city, personal shopping
or incidentals, tips, other meals.



To reserve a space, a non-refundable deposit of $200 is required.  The
balance of payment is required to be paid in full by January 1, 2003.



Early bird special: Pay in full by December 1 and receive a discount of $100
plus a special surprise on the trip.



Your hosts on this trip will be Angel Garcia-Clemente  of NYC, star of
"Ballet los Pampas" and host of "Milonga de Angel" and Stella Ling, long
time tango organizer and president of "Tango Friends International" of SF.
They are both Spanish speaking and have extensive knowledge of tango and
