Memo: To all lovers of close-embrace Argentine Tango Subject: Recapture the Buenos Aires Experience at the
Denver Labor Day Milonguero Tango Fest * August 27 - 31, 2003 * Top US DJs: Robin Thomas, Robert Hauk, Dan Boccia, Stephen Brown * Teachers: Christopher, Caroline, Robert, Barbara, Hsueh-tze, and others * Prices from $69 - 159. (Sorry, I can't bring myself to charge more!) * http://www.tango.org/dance/lab03.html I had so much fun at the recent Memorial Day TangoFest in Denver that, despite a residual tango hangover (colors of the world are a little faded this week), I am already looking forward to Labor Day. We had over 250 attendees at Memorial Day, and close to 300 at Labor Day last year. This leads me to expect about 350 for Labor Day this year. Special changes include making the practices open to those with a dance pass. As always these Denver tango festivals are created by dancers for dancers. Workshops are designed for mixing and meeting partners for the evening dances. The early arrival events on Wed & Thur, and the Welcome Milonga on Fri are especially useful for community building. Colorado mountains are at their finest for hiking in late August. So there is plenty to do besides tango. Please note that I'm offering an additional $10 incentive as an EXTRA Early Bird discount on Full Festival Passes. You can pay online or send a check. Pre-registration is essential for my planning...even if you are coming "a-la-carte", I need to get you listed so I can send updates and figure out how much dance floor to order. Start watching for good airfares. -- Tom Stermitz http://www.tango.org/ sterm...@tango.org 303-388-2560
