We invite you to come to Atlanta Thurs. Sept 18 - Sun. September 21 to
study with Gustavo Naveira and Giselle Anne and to dance in beautiful venues
with dancers from across the U.S. Below is the schedule and pricing
information. Today, July 1, Delta Airlines is having a special sale on
travel to and from Atlanta. You may want to take advantage of this,
especially since the lowest fares are Thursday - Monday, which fits
perfectly with the events of this extended weekend.
REGISTRATION:
Within the next day or two the registration form will be available on
www.tango-rio.com complete with a credit card payment option. Checks are

We have adopted a registration system according to level. The times and
skills used in the descriptions of each level are an estimate.
LEVELS:
A. Newcomer: 1st time to weeks, prerequisite: interest
B. Newly Intermediate: 3-12 months, rerequisite skills: walking, cross,
ochos, lead and follow
C. Experienced Intermediate: 1-2 years, prerequisite skills: the above plus
turns, some experience with ganchos, boleos, sacadas
D. Advanced: 2+ years, Prerequisite skills: all of the above plus
proficiency in navigation, improvisation and the mechanics of tango
This is a GUIDELINE so you can accurately assess class levels - time does
not equal skill, but generally skill improves with time. We want you to
enjoy your classes. The classes are to be taught at the advertised level.
You may notice classes by the same name taught at different levels, this is
because a different amount of base knowledge and skill is assumed. No two
classes will be alike. Please register for any class at your estimated
level or below. So the newcomer should take level A and the advanced dancer
may take all the classes.

We highly recommend the Renaissance Downtown Hotel 590 West Peachtree Street
NW. Atlanta, GA 30308. We have arranged for a rate of $99 plus tax per
night. The code is TRR. The Renaissance Downtown is the same hotel where the
Sat night milonga will be held. The 25th floor has floor to ceiling windows
and fantastic views of the city. All the other venues are near by and
easily accessible by public transportation or foot. The MARTA goes directly
from the Airport to within a block of the Renaissance.
