To All Our Friends In the Tango Community: Four and a half years ago, Barbara & I met, of all places, at a milonga right here in LA.
This coming weekend we will be married, and unfortunately, and as much as we would like to, we will be unable to invite all the people we know and cherish in the tango community to our private ceremony. Some of you are close and some of you passing acquaintances, but all of you are important to us nonetheless, and have made a difference in our lives. So it has been a very difficult decision for us to leave some of you out of this most solemn and special day in our lives. This journey of self-discovery that we call Tango, has brought us and kept us together through all sorts of unexpected joys and struggles. And everyone we have met along the way has made that adventure a more fullfilling and enriching experience. So, in that spirit, we would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to each and every one of you, to attend a special milonga this Saturday September 20th , at "El Encuentro", as our guests (free of charge), and help us celebrate our union born of a mutual passion for Tango. Together with Angel and Julie, in organizing "El Encuentro" for the last few years, we have tried hard to create a place that warmly welcomes anyone that loves tango, so we couldn't think of a better place to throw a party for our extended Tango family. The champagne, cake and lots of laughs will be on us. We sincerely hope you can join us.
