Dear dancers, Ilana and I are proud to present an exciting weekend of tango workshops on October 24th-26th, featuring one of Buenos Aires' true milongueros- Cacho Dante.
Cacho Dante has been dancing tango for over 44 years. Cacho was there on the last years of the golden era of tango in the 1950's, and cultivates his dance to this day. During the last thirteen years, Cacho has taught the close embrace or "milonguero" style not only in Buenos Aires, but also in annual tours of Europe and the United States. Being a pureblooded milonguero and having developed precise teaching method is the combination that makes Cacho an exceptional tango teacher in the world. Cacho's workshop is an excellent opportunity for anyone who wishes to learn more about close embrace social dancing, Buenos Aires Style! Recently there had been much written on the preference of dancing close embrace. Dancers all over the world are realizing the power of the close embrace tango; the passion of its feeling and the connection to ones partner driven by the music. Cacho has always been one of the forces that influence the way Ilana and I dance. Cacho's workshops are very clear with the body, the music, the energy, and most of all, useful things for the social dance hall. Please take a moment and look over those great workshop topics attached at the end of this e-mail. Don't miss the opportunity to learn from the right source! Along with the workshops, there will be a special Saturday evening dance at the Dance Underground with performance by Cacho. I will be your DJ for this special dance.
