Just a few miscellenous Portland (Oregon) TangoFest items:
1. Deadline for reduced full workshop rate ($235) is Oct 8, 2003. After that,
the full price is $265.
2. The two motels within a block of the Viscount (Jupiter Inn and Thriftlodge)
are now fully booked. So plan ahead.
3. Unfortunately, Ronen & Cecilia from N.W. will not be able to make it. The
following substitutions have been made:
Thur 3:30-5:00 PM Intermediate Tango - Rebecca & Brigitta
Fri 11:00 - 12:30 PM Advanced Tango - Eduardo & kikki
Sun 2:00-3:30 PM Beginning Tango - Marcelo Solis
4. For the Thursday "Black & White Milonga", we encourage you to wear...well...
black & white!
5. There will be a full bar available at all evening milongas except the Sunday
Sunrise Milonga starting 2:00 AM at the Berretin. Oregon law requires that
some food also be available where liquor is sold. In the case of the Sat
Grande Ball the menu is Crab cakes $7.50, Salmon Cakes $6.50, Chicken Breast
$5.50, Greek Salad $3 and peach tart $3.50. Although there will be plenty of
theater style seating on Saturday, if you want to eat most likely there won't
be any tables available!
6. Minors will be allowed at all daytime workshops. Minors may attend all
evening milongas except at the Viscount on Wed & Sun, and the Fez on Sat
starting after midnight.
7. Vendors selling shoes, tango clothes, and CD's will be at the Viscount
during the daytime.
The way it's looking, I think this will be our biggest tango event ever. Hope
you can make it.
