Please join all the Motor City Milongueros for a special weekend in the
Detroit area, the Latin & Argentine Tango Club 10th Anniversary Celebration,
October 17th, 18th, and 19th.

It will be a fun and exciting weekend, truly a "Festival of Events". We
will kick the weekend off with our formal gala dinner/dance at the beautiful
Caboto Club in Windsor on Friday evening, October 17th. In the afternoon on
Saturday we will have group classes at O'Kelly Hall in Dearborn and in the
evening Milonga Picante at the Michigan Union in Ann Arbor. Sunday we will
have a workshop and a peqa at O'Kelly Hall.

We will have an incredible show at our dinner/dance on Friday. Angel G.
Clemente and Rosa Collantes, world renown dancers and teachers from New
York, will dance tango and their own unique combination of salsa and tango,
sal-tango. Sal-tango is an original artistic and sensous dance developed by
Angel and Rosa. They performed sal-tango at the Tribute to Tio Puente in
Madison Square Garden. We also have the honor of having the renown Grupo
Salamanca from Montreal. Grupo Salamanca is an independent company
operating out of Montreal. Their most recent engagement was at the New York
New York Hotel in Las Vegas. Cirque du Soliel sponsored the premier of
their show, "Salamanca" on September 20th. Luis Lopez, the director of
the group, is originally from Santiago Del Estero, Argentina. Santiago Del
Estero is well known as a center of Argentine folkloric dance. At our 10th
Anniversary Celebration Luis will be dancing with his partner, Ann Bernard.
Ann was a member of the cast of Cirque du Soliel's show "Saltimbanco" for 4
years, since 1989.
Check the website, http://www.pro5.qc.ca/. We will have our own tango trio,
Eduardo Tami on flute, Mariano Castro on piano, and Magdelene Soave on
bandoneon. Francisco Santapa, our guest professor from Buenos Aires, will
be perfoming members of the Club. As a special treat, our own Motor City
ilongueros will be dancing a group vals to "A Mi Madre".
