Jorge DeGouvea (who turns 69 on November 20) started teaching group classes this week in Casa de Gerard on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. The class is 15 pesos per person. You can find him dancing with Irma in El Arranque on Tuesday afternoon. The house is located at Trienta y tres Orientales 249 near the corner of Quito in the neighborhood of Almagro. The telephone at the house is 4981-1409. Jorge told me he's doing classes to help out his son-in-law who has a family to support. Pedro Sanchez (68) is another one of my favorite milongueros for milonga con traspie. He teaches private classes for US$30 per hour. You can see Pedro dancing in Ideal, Celia's, and other milongas. Ricardo Vidort (74), who spent the summer teaching in England, speaks English.
