The festival commences at noon on Saturday 27 December and is concluded
the following Thursday evening, on 1 January.

find the most recent festival information. The total number of
participants is approximately 144. All workshops are done in six groups
of twelve couples. Each group is taught by all teachers. Levels are
intermediate, intermediate/advanced, and advanced.
You can book set lesson packages consisting of ten lessons of 90
minutes each during the period of 28 December to 1 January, or separate
lessons. (NB: Out of the 24 places for each lesson, six places are
reserved for non-package bookings.)
The package price is 2,300 SEK, which includes:
* Ten 90-minute workshops during the period 28 December to 1 January,
* Admittance to all six milongas, including the New Year's Party and
the Nalen Dance Hall milonga (but not including the concert which
immediately precedes the milonga),
* four lunches,
* Dinner Buffet at Nalen Dance Hall.
Separate non-package workshops are also offered by all teachers, for
all levels, on 27 December. For prices of non-package bookings, please

The Teachers:
=============
* ROBERTO HERRERA & NATACHA POBERAJ epitomize the style of Antonio
Todaro. Roberto studied at "El Chicaro y Norma Viola" academy of folk
dancing, and was also one of the solo dancers of the orchestra of
Osvaldo Pugliese during the last years of Pugliese's life. Roberto and
Natacha have toured the world extensively with various tango shows and
are very active teachers. They live in Buenos Aires, where they teach
the secrets of the Argentine tango.
* GUSTAVO CHIDICHIMO & VIRGINIA MARTORANI are both residents of Buenos
Aires. In 1994, Gustavo founded the milonga "Club Gricel" in Buenos
Aires together with Héctor Chidichimo. He is 34 years of age and has
taught tango since 1999. Virginia is 24 years of age and has worked as
a professional dancer in Argentina, Chile and Italy. Like Gustavo, she
also teaches at Club Gricel.
* JORGE TORRES & CLAUDE MURGA - Jorge is an established dance teacher
who studied dance at the "Teatro Colón" in Buenos Aires. He has
appeared in a large number of tango shows since the beginning of the
90s. Claude Murga studied dance at the famous "Martha Graham School of
Dance" in New York and also at Teatro Colon. Together, Jorge and
Claudia teach at "Escuela Nacionál de Tango" in Buenos Aires.
* SILVIO GRAND & CARLA CÓRDOBA - Silvio Grand, born in Buenos Aires in
1980, discovered tango when he was 15. He is a pupil of the milonga
teachers Mimo and Franscisco Santapá. He has also danced jazz and
rock'n'roll and been active as an actor. As a tango dancer, he has been
part of the cast of many shows. Carla Córdoba is also from Buenos
Aires, and has been the dance partner of Umberto Ferrero.
The Orchestras:
===============
ORQUESTA TÍPICA SILENCIO features musicians from Buenos Aires,
Montevideo and Europe: Irmgard Gross and Giovanni Barbato, violins,
Dario Viri, violin and viola, José-Luis Betancor and Peter Gneist,
bandoneóns, Roger Helou, piano, Winne Holzenkamp, doublebass and Andrés
Ramos, vocals.
TANGARTE is an orchestra based in Skåne, Sweden, but its members hail
from Argentina, Europe and Sweden: Juanjo Passo, guitar, Juan José
Passo Sr, vocals, Tord Sölvesson, accordeon, Jerzy Markiewicz, piano,
and Per Tidstrand, violoncello.
