--Steve Brooke Burdett will be making her annual North American Winter Teaching Tour, January 8 through March 2, 2004. Brooke only visits North America twice a year, usually hitting each city only once per year. Don't miss her this winter. (Schedule below) Brooke Burdett is known for leap across continents almost seven years ago that took her from the Denver area on a "tango calling" to Buenos Aires where she currently resides. Recognized for her original and delicte footwork and celebrated for her clarity and generosity in the classroom, Brooke teaches and performs tango in Buenos Aires, the United States and Canada. She also has made instructional videos with Daniel Trenner and Mariano "Chicho" Frumboli. Respected as an expert follower AND leader, she feels incredibly "Argentine-like" as a dancer, yet she is able to articulate and impart what she knows in easy-to-understand North American vernacular. Brooke's tango is also informed by a variety of movement forms, including jazz, yoga, contact improvisation and African dances.
