Mario Consiglieri is the embodiment of what is possible in Tango.
Dynamically diverse and adept in all areas of the dance, his insight and
knowledge of the mechanics and musicality of the dance are what set him
apart from the crowd and make him such a special teacher and dancer. His
belief that the body can be used in many ways to reflect the different moods
in the music, has led him to investigate variations in the qualities
(energy, rotation, balance) of movement. Through this investigation and
research he has developed a style of dance which provokes you to see and
feel what he feels, hears and thus dances. As a featured instructor at the
C.I.T.A. (Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino) festival held annually
in Buenos Aires, he is a contributor and collaborator to the international
movement of Tango and itb s evolution. Held during the second week of March
the festival offers a full week of classes and numerous theatre performances
from the various aspects of the Tango and its many representatives. Mario
also organizes a group every March to participate in the festival.

Mario is also the caretaker of Nuevotango School of Logic, the continuation
of what Gustavo Naveira and Fabian Salas began in the early 1990 a
structured program through which to learn the Tango. The system of teaching
allows one to break down the basic concepts of the dance, see how the
variations branch out, understand and apply the standard body mechanics
necessary to exploit the possibilities within the dance to the extreme of
the individuals creativity.
