The Tango Society of Central Illinois is hosting a milonga at the Phillips Recreation Center (505 W Stoughton) in Urbana, IL on Saturday January 24 from 9-12 PM. Admission is $5.
Prior to the milonga, starting at 7:30 PM, there is a lesson entitled "Introduction to Milonga and its Musicality". The cost is $7 and includes admission to the milonga. The Phillips Recreation Center has a large (> 2000 sq. ft.) wood dance floor and an excellent sound system for your dancing enjoyment. The milonga music program includes a variety of tango music for dancing from the Golden Age to the present. The Phillips Recreation Center is a smoke-free environment. Urbana, IL is 130 miles south of Chicago, 110 miles west of Indianapolis, and 180 miles northeast of St. Louis.
