Special Classes for Men, Women, & Couples Argentine Tango in the Milonguero Style Tango Downtown is proud to host Alicia's second visit to New Mexico, February 14-16 at the Harwood Art Center. Alicia is a deservedly popular teacher, receiving rave reviews from students here on her first visit to Albuquerque last year, as well as elsewhere in the U.S. and in Buenos Aires She was formerly a teaching partner of Cacho Dante¹s, and is an wonderfully elegant and expressive dancer in the Milonguero-style. Her footwork is exquisite, while firmly grounded in her approach to the dance as an intimate conversation between partners. <> All classes are open to all levels. <> The first classes on Saturday & Sunday focus on men's and women's technique respectively (open to all; men may take the women's class & vice versa). <> The second classes on Saturday & Sunday are couples classes and will be gender/role-balanced. There is a discount for those making their own partner arrangements. Advance registration is required for these classes to maintain gender/role balance. (For those registering without a partner, placement, as available, will be in order of registration receipt.) <> Monday's class is open enrollment, an embellished review of (or introduction to) the weekend¹s ideas & exercises. <> Sun Feb 16, 7:30-10:30pm, the Tango Club of Albuquerque will host a milonga at Kelly's Brew Pub, 3222 Central Ave SE, in the Nob Hill business district across the street from Monte Vista Fire Station.
