An Argentine Tango Weekend Workshop With Alejandro Tosi Alejandro Tosi, a native Argentine tanguero now haling from Portland, Oregon, is among Portland s more skilled and devoted dancers. He has been studying and dancing the tango for six years learning from some of Buenos Aires finest. Alejandro learned to dance in Buenos Aires under the study of Jose Garofalo. He has also been influenced by Eduardo "El Brujo" Capussi, el Indio, Pablo and Valeria, Roberto Herrera, Gustavo Naveira, and Omar Vega. Since arriving in Portland over four years ago, Alejandro has taught individual and group lessons. Every January, he organizes with Robert Hauk a tango trip to Buenos Aires. Alejandro is appreciated for his knowledge of Argentine culture, and also for his talent for dancing milonga.
