Alcia Pons' Workshop and private lessons in DC
Mar. 4-10,
Alicia Pons's ability to imbue the role of the woman with verve
and style has made her one of the most sought after female
partners in Buenos Aires milongas. She has highly refined
technique, and her foot play and sensual seduction are done
with humor and artistry. In her teaching, Alicia emphasizes the
woman's ability to not just follow, but to be an equal, yet graceful,
partner in the dance

Alicia has taught for the last several years with Cacho Dante,
with whom she has frequently performed. She was trained in
classical dance from an early age, and her first tango
contemporaries include Graciela Gonzalez and Tete Rusconi,
the most renown milongueros of the generation.
