Argentine Tango - Beginners and Advanced classes followed by a Milonga

a.. The fundamental class is fun and easy - proof that everyone can learn to
dance tango. Also a good review for those already with tango experience.
b.. The advance/intermediate levels classes will focus on embellishing and
adorning your tango movements.Some tango experience necessary. Men will be
taught how to adorn giros while staying balanced and fluid in motion. Women
will be taught when, where, and how to embellish (focusing on turns and
ochos). Those who took fundamentals may wish to attend or observe.

Biographies
Renee Linnell has more than fifteen years of multifaceted and eclectic
background and training in diverse styles of dance including: Ballet, Jazz,
Modern, Afro-Caribbean Jazz, Hula, Latin, Ballroom, and Argentine Tango. She
has belonged to both the University of California at Irvineand the
Jacksonville University dance departments where she graduated Magna Cum
Laude with a double BS in psychology and dance. Her schooling included
training in: choreography, injury treatment and prevention,technique
analysis, body mechanics, anatomy, kinesiology, teachingmethods, dance
history, lighting, costume design, set design, directing, nutrition for
dancers, and performing. A classical Ballet dancer for twenty years, she is
now dedicating most of her time to dancing and teaching Argentine Tango and
Salsa. She speaks Spanish fluently and hastaught and studied social Latin
dances in Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama,Peru, and most recently has spent more
than six months living in Buenos Aires studying tango.
Joe Kunitz started ballroom and Latin dancing at the age of three. His
performance career started at the age of five. He graduated with
the"Outstanding Student Award" from Fort Hayes Performing Arts School in
Columbus, Ohio where his studies included ballet, modern dance,
andchoreography. In 1996 Joe moved to Southern California to further his
career by competing in American Rhythm. At this time he began teaching at
Champion Ballroom in San Diego.After competing in American Rhythm for three
years Joe discovered and fell in love with Argentine Tango. He moved to
Denver and studied Tango with Fernanda and Guillermo, Julio and Corina, and
Joey Corbada. After winning second place in the United States Tango
Championship Joe continued dancing and performing in Denver, Colorado. He
moved back to Southern California in January of 2003 and began his
partnership with Renee Linnell shortly thereafter.
