Tangueros, The plans for our first regional tango weekend are finalized! The focus of this weekend is "dance, dance, dance" with no workshops or classes scheduled! This will allow many of us to practice/dance a lot with many tangueros with different styles without feeling tired after a whole day of classes. We hope you will all be able to join us in Durham/Triangle for dancing, fun and celebrating spring! We will have groups of tangueros coming from Wilmington, Fayetteville, Charlotte, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Asheville/NC and from SC, VA, GA, and beyond! So, here's the details:
We will have a practica Saturday afternoon, April 10, from 2pm till 5pm at TDS (check out http://www.tangophilia.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=20040124cyd&page=3 for photos from a Tangophilia event at TDS) and then a milonga with dinner included or not at Cafe Parizade (see http://www.tangophilia.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=20040124cydparizade&page=1 for some photos from a dinner+milonga at Parizade) "with dinner" option gives a better chance of having more space to start dancing earlier in the night. So, dinner+milonga starts at 8pm and goes until 1:30-2:00am. Our home studio dance floor will be open for those who want to have a Sunday (April 11) tango brunch/practice. We will need to know if you will join us for the brunch so that we can provide enough food and drinks. Our indoors dance floor as well as the outside patio + backyard will be open for dancing and fun :-) We will start by noon and go until 3pm.
