YOU ARE INVITED to a FIRST milonga on Saturday, May 15, at a turn of the
century ballroom atmosphere, now an art gallery, in Natchez, Mississippi.
Please see this gorgeous room at: www.morris-gallery.com .
There is a small group of tangueros in Natchez, and we are hoping that this
friendly milonga will open eyes, and bring more tango focus to this new
community.

PLEASE RESERVE YOUR PLACE BY THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 30TH.
Natchez is a beautiful, historic town: a famous river boat stop along the
Mississippi River. There are 300 antebellum homes in this small town, more
than anywhere else in the South. Natchez lies at one end of the Natchez
Trace Parkway, following this 1700s' traders' trail from the River to
Nashville. This drive is beautiful, as is the graceful town of Natchez.

Natchez is one and a half hour drive from Baton Rouge, 3 hours from New
Orleans, and 4 and a half hours from Memphis. There are two "host" Inns. One
is a charming Historic Inn, "The Guesthouse", (601) 442-8828, two and a half
blocks from the milonga at Morris Gallery, two blocks from the River. There
is also Riverside Bed and Breakfast, (on the River bluff) which has one room
only left for the 15th, and it can be reserved at (601) 446-5730.
Of course, there are many other elegant plantation homes, or more generic
motels where one may stay.

HAPPENINGS:
Saturday the 15th: There is a beginner/intermediate class at 4:00PM,taught
by Christina Johnson, and a beginning tango class from 7-8PM at the Gallery.
The milonga is 8PM-1:00AM, and will have many Natchez residents squeezing in
to watch!
The price is $10, including one drink. There will be a bar open the whole
night.
I hope your spring is beautiful and bountiful!

Christina Johnson
