Sat 5/29 Arrastres(Drags)
1:00pm-2:30pm $25
No tripping allowed: How to drag your partner s free leg without tripping
them. Topics will include drags within a turn and within a line for both
leaders and followers.
Sat 5/29 Follower s Technique Intensive - Int/Adv
2:45-6:00pm $45
Bring heels and flat shoes.
Class I 2:45pm-4:15pm
Exercises for walking, footwork, balance, posture, pivots, and ochos.
Class II 4:30pm-6pm
Exercises for overturned ochos, turns, control and release of the
supporting/free leg like boleos and ganchos.
Sun 5/30 Giros
1-2:30pm $25
Flow into giros(turns) with effortless ease! The keys to execute turns and
how to use it to move around the dance floor will be covered. Technique for
both leaders and followers will be emphasized.
Sun 5/30 Boleos Galore!
2:45pm-6pm $45
Class I 2:45-4:15pm
Fabulous boleos with effortless grace: this class will emphasize the
technical keys to lead and follow with and contra boleos.
Class II 4:30pm-6pm
Boleos come in more than one flavor. Express yourself with the timing and
quality of the free leg for high and low boleos.
Please arrive 15 minutes before start of class to park, register, & warmup for
class.
PREREQUESITES(5/15-5/16)
Recommended: Min 6 months of dancing pure lead and follow social tango.

BIO

Luciana Valle not only has danced with many of the best leaders in the world
(Fabian Salas, Omar Vega, Puppy Castello) she is a great leader herself. Her
teaching is superb! In fluent English, she can communicate and demonstrate how
to make your dancing better for both leaders and followers. Luciana has taught
tango all over the world: Buenos Aires, Cuba, United States. Her approach to
learning tango is improvisational and includes a strong emphasis on technique
for women. She is fun, exuberant, sensitive and especially good with private
lessons.
